It is not an easy task to groom cats and it sometimes takes a while for them to get used to it but they always feel much better after being groomed. It’s a fantastic feeling to know I’ve helped a cat feel more comfortable and look fantastic.
During the grooming sessions I always aim to keep your fur babies as comfortable as possible. I always give them plenty of breaks and you will probably hear me chatting to them to try to keep them calm.
I do sometimes use a towel to place between the cat and myself or use an Elizabethan collar to prevent any bites to myself.
I offer full grooming sessions which include claw clips, thorough comb of the coat with a conditioning spray to get out the loose hair and undercoat and eye/ear cleaning. I also offer lion clips, modified lion clip, spot shaving of mats and hygiene clips.
If you have a cat that is not used to grooming, I also offer an introduction to grooming session which is a shorter session which is ideal for kittens so they get used to the grooming equipment and whole process. I groom cats as holistically as I possibly can so the cat can gain trust in me which in turn makes them more comfortable and it becomes a positive experi-ence.

I will using natural calming pheromone sprays or catnip/Valerian toys, yummy treats as to make it a positive experience, lots of calming chatting (cat whisper-ing) plenty of breaks, I might use a towel as a barrier to protect myself from being bitten. Most of all I take my time and do not rush. I always work with the cat not against it which makes a more pleasurable experience for me, you, and your cat!
